About

I am a recent graduate of Brandeis University with a major in Computer Science (B.S.) and minors in Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Studies and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS). I was treasurer for the Brandeis Disabled Students' Network (DSN) and am committed to accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity. I have a passion for UX design, web development, and 3D animation, and hope to use my skills for positive change. Currently, I am looking for opportunities in computer-science-related areas.

I have experience in Python, Java, and HTML/CSS, and am learning more about cybersecurity and web development. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and arts and crafts.

Designing a Cafe Ordering App

Through Google's UX Design course on Coursera, I designed an ordering app for a cafe. Tap the slide or use the arrow keys to view the project slides below.

Team Projects

Visualizing Housing Inequality in the U.S.

I worked with a team of 3 other students to design, prototype, and implement a website visualizing housing inequality and median income across the US. We used D3.js to create a map of the US with color-coded states based on percent housing inequality, bar charts for median income, and a pie chart for racial demographics.

A Deep Dive Into Network Analyzers

I collaborated with a team member for a semester-long project on the ethics of network analyzers Nmap and Wireshark. We performed extensive research and safely tested out these network analyzers to learn and understand their implications on privacy and ethics.

Productivity App

For this course, I collaborated with a team of 3 other students to create various web apps throughout the semester using JavaScript, Flask, SQL, Mongoose, and EJS.

GPT Grammarly

GPT Grammarly site homepage with links to Ask questions to GPT, Index, About, and Team pages.

We created a "Grammarly" Flask web app using the ChatGPT API. Features include grammar editor, summarization or paraphrasing, synonym generator, poem generator, and Spanish translation based on input text.

Finance Tracker

Finance Tracker page showing table of transactions with delete, edit, and add transactions options, as well as sorting options.

We built a Finance Tracker using SQL, then recreated it in our Productivity web app using Express and Mongoose. Our finance tracker allows the user to add, delete, and edit transactions as well as sort them by different categories such as amount and date.

TextTrove

TextTrove page with button options for poem maker, summary maker, Spanish translator, and synonym generator.

Building on our Productivity App, we added a TextTrove page similar to our GPT Grammarly which also uses the ChatGPT API to create poems, summaries, Spanish translations, and synonyms using input text.

Java Compiler

I worked with a team member to build a Java compiler as a semester project, components including lexer, parser, abstract syntax tree, and assembly code generator. I worked hard on debugging to make sure our compiler performed as expected.

View on GitHub Snippet of compiler code and terminal output showing parser generated successfully in V.S. Code.

Highlights

Teaching Assistant for Discrete Math

As a TA for Discrete Math, I supported student learning by helping them understand course content during office hours. I collaborated with the professor and other TAs to proctor and grade weekly exams, while keeping up with course material to better address student questions. I realy enjoyed helping students build confidence in the material and watching their progess and understanding grow throughout the semester.

Brandeis Disabled Students' Network

As treasurer of the Brandeis Disabled Students' Network, I worked with the rest of the club's executive board as well as Student Union and Treasury to help plan and secure funding for events. The club works to provide a safe space for disabled students and allies, advocate for accessibility, and foster an inclusive environment. For the 2024-2025 year, we secured over $1,200 for our events. A main highlight of each year is our disability-related panels featuring professors and advocates as speakers. In 2025, we put on a panel about disability coverage in the news featuring journalists Wendy Lu and Heelam Bohra. See more on the club's Instagram.

Volunteering with BAAFN

I have been volunteering with the Brookline Asian American Family Network (BAAFN) at events such as Pan Asian Lunar New Year celebrations, the yearly AAPI Heritage month celebration, and the BAAFN essay contest to uplift AAPI stories. Learn more on the BAAFN website.

Boston Children Hospital's Teen Advisory Committee

At Boston Children's Hospital, we advocated for patients through committee meetings, holding events to build community with patients, and sharing our perspectives with doctors and staff to improve hospital care. We also started a Facebook group for patients and their families to connect and share helpful tips.
